L'Oréal have released their own version of a beauty face oil called Age Perfect Huile Extraordinaire Visage et Décolleté as the tsunami trend continues to wash over our beauty shelves, especially in France where brands such as Monoï Tahiti or Nuxe have been early trend-setters becoming ingrained in the beauty habits of French women, and even the whole family...

The new oil is destined to fight ageing for the areas of the face and décolleté, the latter an area quite exposed to the sun sometimes even in the city, and often neglected.

The promising blend is a multi-layered mixture of vegetal oils and essential oils to retrieve a good synergy of active ingredients, hopefully.

The dry oil includes essential oils of lavander (anti-oxydant), marjoram, rosemary (both fight bacteria), geranium (soothing), rose (improves complexion), Roman camomilla (soothing), orange peel (protects collagen) et lavander flower (encourages the production of collagen and elastin).

The oil itself is a blend of 9 vegetal oils: FRUIT OIL, SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS OIL / JOJOBA SEED OIL, CAMELINA SATIVA OIL / CAMELINA SATIVA SEED OIL, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL / SUNFLOWER SEED OIL, ROSA CANINA FRUIT OIL, ZEA MAYS OIL / CORN OIL, PRUNUS ARMENIACA KERNEL OIL / APRICOT KERNEL OIL, PASSIFLORA EDULIS OIL / PASSIFLORA EDULIS SEED OIL, ORYZA SATIVA BRAN OIL / RICE BRAN OIL.

The list of ingredients indicates "parfum" in the middle of it, which means there is synthetic fragrance which they describe as pleasant, so it's not as natural as one could hope for to put on one's face but still sounds worth a try as the blend is rich, well thought-out and affordable. It's recommended for women past 40 who have sensitive and dry skin.
