L'Oréal just launched a new face cream called Age Perfect Golden Age Soin Jour Rose. The difference with the previous Age Perfect is that there are pink pigments suspended in the cream - a very ancient practice going back to the Antiquity - while main ingredients are "neo-calcium", "imperial peonies" root extract, jasmine extract, and iris flower.
The new skincare targets "very mature" and "dull" complexions with the avowed aim of putting back some authentic pink and firmness to your cheeks by activating micro-circulation, reinforcing the dermis and applying a blushing, or rather pinkish, glowing effect. The optimistic goal is to go beyond makeup and tell your skin to progressively glow for real, as when you were young - and/or less stressed.
So, there is a short-term impact, and hopefully a long-term one.
As always, American actress Jane Fonda, who is 78, is the spokesperson for the range.
