Angelina Jolie in Fatigues for Vuitton Cambodia Ad Trying Hard to Look like a Poor Peasant {Celebrity Look}

Actress Angelina Jolie was apparently roped into posing for the latest Core Values Louis Vuitton ad. One cannot but notice that the advertising campaign is an odd mixture of styles. First of all, it reminds you vaguely of Jane Fonda in Vietnam in the 70s sporting pseudo fatigues. As in a reminder of that political era, Jolie is wearing an outfit that looks like a cross between a peasant working clothes and kaki military fatigues. Her own Alto carryall bag creates a marked contrast with the worm-eaten boat, to the point where it makes you feel a bit uneasy about the discrepancy and the message it conveys of laugh-in-your-face luxury...

I had not kept the best of memories of my early attempts in that area. But let's say it was probably prehistoric time in terms of dry shampoo (I'm not a fan a priori of the concept.) Spying a small pink canister of British brand Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush, I decided to give it a go because the packaging looked hip in a vintage way and the shampoo smelled good in the Blush scent, a tropical white floral meant to help you escape to Hawaï or some such place...

Jennifer Lopez is First Global Ambassador for Gillette Venus, Creates Goddess Education Fund {New Beauty Ad}

Part of her action is to promote the brand, the other part is to promote the cause of women focusing on finding means to empower them. You can do two things right now (after watching the commercial featuring JLo singing for Gillette Venus after the jump.) The first one is to upload your Goddess story on the dedicated page (250 character limit.) For each story contributed, $1 will be donated to charity. For instance, Jennifer Lopez contributed her own story about her "goddess moments." She writes,

"For me personally, it has to do with a lot of different things.

My Goddess shows when I’m with my family. Seeing my children smile. Looking into their eyes. Spending every spare second with them. I feel really, really powerful because of the love we share. [...]

All of those times when I am connected to who I really am—comfortable with myself and confident in who I am. That’s when my Goddess is showing."...
