Shower Fresh by Clean {Perfume Review & Musings} {Notebook: Fresh & Clean}

How addictive can freshness be? If you want to smell like you had just stepped out of the shower all day long and are wearing crisp freshly ironed linen, then look no further, Shower Fresh by Clean was just made for that purpose.

The perfume has opening notes of lemon, mandarin, and orange. Heart notes are lily of the valley, orange blossom, and jasmine. Base notes are sheer musks and woods.....

Shower Fresh is one of those barely-there scents that nevertheless create the aura offered by a very discrete skin scent but without ever smelling perfumey. You get the freshness of a white floral without the floral notes being perceptible. It starts with very light citrus accents and segues into a transparent faint floral heart that smells pure rather than flowery. The base notes are composed of clean musks and woods that feel almost invisible so ethereal are they.

The scent feels like a gust of wind were blowing on the clean tiles of a bathroom or on immaculately starched white laundry drying in the sun. It is feminine and subtle and sexy in an understated way.

It is a great scent for when you just want to smell good and yearn for purity and simplicity. I think it would be great as an office scent and perhaps even as a perfume to wear during one's pregnancy when only very very discreet scents will do, due to the acuteness of the sense of smell of a mom-to-be.

You can purchase it for $76 on the Clean site or at Fragrances & More with a 10% discount by typing in salamander10 at checkout.
