Inter Parfums Acquires World-Wide Rights To Lanvin Perfumes {Fragrance News}
"Fragrance manufacturer and distributor Inter Parfums has acquired the worldwide rights to Lanvin Perfumes from Jeanne Lanvin in a €22m/$29.7m cash deal. [....]
Under the agreement the two companies have terminated their existing licensing contract, which was signed in June 2004. Inter Parfums will also pay Lanvin a sales-based fee for technical and creative assistance in the development of new fragrances until 30 June, 2019. Lanvin will then have the right to repurchase the fragrance brand and trademarks in 2025."

Oh dear, I hope this is not the end of Lanvin as a good fragrance house, though it has fallen on hard times in recent years. I have yet to try the new version of Rumeur but I have heard it is quite nice, and I would hate to see this grand old name devalued.
