Laura Mercier Nuits Enchantées (2008) {New Perfume}

Wondering about what special local gift to bring back from London? Here's a suggestion: Laura Mercier has introduced a new limited-edition only UK-based perfume called Nuits Enchantées (Enchanted Nights). Only 3000 copies are available and it is currently exclusively sold at Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols.

The composition, which was created by perfumer James Krivda of Mane, appears to be an opulent oriental fragrance with an insistence on coffee and mocha notes... The scent takes its inspiration from the Arabian tales of the 1001 Nights. As far as the guessing game goes, Laura Mercier Ambre Passion is a take-no-prisoner amber so one could expect Nuits Enchantées to be tilting in that direction.

"Opening notes are Mocha, Mace, Cardamom and Mandarin. The heart of the scent holds Pimento Berries, Guaiacwood, Tuberose, Cedar Leaf, Ginger and Rose. Finally, the EDP has spicy Vanilla Musk with notes of Coffee Absolute, Vanilla Bourbon, Patchouli, Amber, Sandalwood, Cedarwood and Vetiver."

At Harrods the eau de parfum retails for 60 £ or $119, 35 at current exchange rate.
