Byblos Essence (2008) {New Perfume}
Italian fashion house Byblos has released a new perfume simply titled Essence. It was created by perfumer Christine Nagel. The bottle is by creative agency Sylvie de France (Lolita Lempicka, Fleur de Corail, Givenchy Jardin d'Interdits, Lacoste Dream of Pink, Georges Stahl Elle d'Elissa...). It reminds one a bit of the original modern-retro packaging for Frapin 1270...
Since 2006, Byblos's creative destinies have been entrusted to artistic director Manuel Facchini who is also in charge of developing the brand's line of perfumes. The company that has a fragrance licensing agreement with them is Eurocosmesi.
Described as a floriental, the Essence's tag line is: "BE IN RAPTURE", to which you could only obtemperate.
Top notes are: bergamot, mandarin, neroli, freesia; heart notes are: marine accord, jasmine, geranium, aloe rosa; base notes are: musk, cedar wood, teak wood, Tahitian vanilla.
It is reportedly exclusively available in the US at Nordstrom, $75 for 3.4 fl. oz.
