Valentino Eau de Parfum (2009) {New Perfume}
Italian fashion designer Valentino has launched a new perfume which is currently exclusive to Neiman Marcus. Bottled in a strikingly designed diamond-cut flacon, the fragrance is described as a "modern aldehydic floral" with fresh facets...
The scent was created to open on notes of sparkling pomelo, juicy pear blossom and magnolia. It then fades into a heart of "sensuous orange flower, contrasted with softly feminine mimosa (symbolic of feminine strength) and violet leaves." The base notes feature a perfume note of rice vapor borrowed from the culture of niche fragrances where wild experiments are supposed to happen more regularly, as well as heliotrope and vanilla orchid.
"The Bottle:
The simple, modern, black and romantic blush color palette, reflects the pared-down elegance that makes contemporary Valentino so distinguishable. The curve of the luxurious, diamond cut bottle, mirrors the elegant lines of a timeless Valentino gown, while the crystal cut pattern is inspired by the opulent embroidery techniques for which the Maison is known. The pale blush of the fragrance echoes a crystal fresh sensuality, while the overall facade makes a statement of individuality."
You can now pre-order the scent, which is available for $80 and $100.
