Vera Wang Rock Princess (2009) {New Fragrance}

In April 2009, Vera Wang will be adding a new kind of princess persona to the Princess portfolio with a new scent called Rock Princess. It comes after Princess and Flower Princess. Lori Singer of Coty Prestige Designer Fragrances said that " For example, this princess would trade her tiara for a new guitar." To create this edgier perfume, Coty turned to perfumer Calice Becker of Givaudan who knows how to thrum the popular chord and has also created a very popular perfume for younger women (J'Adore, Tommy Girl, Love, Beyond Love, Cuir, Vent Vert (new formulation)...

Rock Princess is described as a dark fruity floral. It "opens with succulent white peach, lush, bittersweet red raspberry and vibrant bergamot; has a heart of heliotrope, vintage-inspired rose, night-blooming jasmine, delicate lily, and dries down with plush cashmere woods, smoldering musk, iris and creamy coconut."

The heart-shaped bottle remains the same but with new colors and decorations. The glass turns a smoky gray with a metallic overlay, the crown is made out of gun metal and rhinestones and the lettering is silvery gray and pink.

"Eaux de toilette sprays in 1 oz. and 3.4 oz. — $45 and $72, respectively — will be sold in the U.S.; a 1.7-oz. eau de toilette will be sold only in international markets. A 5-oz. body lotion, $32, will also be offered in the brand’s U.S. distribution of 2,800 department and specialty store doors."
