Isabel Derroisne Eclat d'Orient (2009) {New Perfume}
Isabel Derroisné, a brand which is part of the Yves Rocher Group, launched a new perfume called Eclat dOrient to pay homage to a changing China. The perfumer Karine Dubreuil composed a powdery-floral scent. She described it saying,
"Its heart moved by the tender freshness of rice fields and the crunchy greenness of a bamboo forest, Eclat d'Orient lets a few almond flowers fly away which take refuge in the limpid coccoon of milky and soft musk and sandalwood notes."...
The brand itself prefers to stress the harmonious cohabitation of Eastern and Western influences in the "subtle balance" represented by the perfume composition and characterizes it as being both "sophisticated and modern".
The bottle is meant to suggest an Orientalist motif on a satin kimono.
Top notes: yuzu, bergamot, freesia; heart notes: almond flowers, bamboo, rice leaves, wild jasmine; white musks, sandalwood.
The eau de toilette is priced at 43 € normally and is currently benefiting from an introductory discount rate at 23 €.
