A study conducted in Russia by consulting agency L'Agence de Lux concludes on an optimistic note regarding the effect of the recession on perfume-consuming behavior. Yep, there is an upside. It is all bound to encourage loyalty towards old brands and encourage people to be pickier thereby favoring a push towards higher quality in the end, according to the thinking heads at L'Agence de Lux....

"According to representative L'Agence de Lux "crisis will also have positive influence on the Russian perfumery and cosmetic market. In new conditions consumers' loyalty to products and brands will raise. Consumers will not rush randomly for the avalanche of new products and ostensibly new brands, but begin to analyze more attentively the advertising slogans and promises by the companies in favor of real efficiency and correspondence of the price and quality. Certainly, not all products and brands will pass such a test by the attentive consumer, but certain clearance will become today the basis for development for tomorrow".
