Maison Francis Kurkdjian Lumiere Noire pour Femme (2009): First Look {New Perfume - New House}
Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, the creator of MaDame, Le Mâle, Fleur du Mâle, Rose Barbare and numerous other fragrances for the wider market announced at the end of last year that he was going to open his own perfume house. He explained that,
"It's a [fragrance] house that has its owner and friends, but not a brand...
According to Elle, Maison Francis Kurkdjian will open the doors of its boutique to the public on September 7, 2009. It is located at 5, rue d'Alger in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, in the vicinity of the Place Vendôme.
Ladies first. The first perfume to appear from the house is a feminine called Lumière Noire pour Femme (Black Light for Women). It is described as based on a romantic rose and earthy, woodsy patchouli accord.
A 70 ml bottle is priced at 95 €.
