Couturier Elie Saab who is well-known for his lavish, glamorous designs and popularity amongst show-biz sorts who regularly sport his designs on the red carpet, has signed a 10-year contract with Beauté Prestige International, a division of Shiseido, to develop perfumes under his own name...
The fashion designer joins a selective fragrance portfolio which comprises Issey Miyake, Jean Paul Gaultier and Narciso Rodriguez, all of whom have been very successful fragrance developers, each bringing their unique contributions to and helping redefine the perfumery landscape with such modern classics as L'Eau, Le Mâle and Narciso Rodriguez for Her.
BPI likes to think of itself as not only a company but a house, one which specializes in creators from the world of fashion reputed for their individuality.
"Creating a fragrance has become an essential step of the development of our couture house," stated Saab. "We have chosen BPI as a partner who is able to actualize our ambitions. We will create together a signature fragrance and an image that embody the DNA of our brand."
