Vera Wang Glam Princess: Fronted by Zoe Kravitz (2009) {New Perfume} {Celebrity Fragrance}

The ink on the packaging of Vera Wang Rock Princess has seldom dried, and my written thoughts on it have not quite gelled (it's good, but how good is it?), that it has now been announced that a new princess franchise perfume called Vera Wang Glam Princess will launch in December 2009. Why so many, so soon, you might ask?

"The theory? That fickle younger consumers are constantly buying what is new and different -- so new expressions once or twice a season offer the best chance to keep that customer loyal."...

Vera Wang is also turning full-speed to celebrity perfume --  it reinforces the glam statement part of the scent to start with -- by having the fragrance fronted by young actress Zoë Kravitz, the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet.

This will not be a one-off deal. Reportedly, Kravitz has been hired to be the face of Vera Wang Princess flankers for the next two years to come.

Glam Princess was composed by perfumers Ilias Ermenidis and Harry Fremont of Firmenich. 

• Top notes of crushed red berries, juicy guava and sparkling pear
• 
  
• Heart notes of orange blossom and vanilla orchid
• 
  
• Base notes of warm ambrette, sugary marshmallow and soft cashmere wood

The Princess fragrances have a way of straddling the gap between cute and mature that make them quite versatile. Rock Princess for example can be worn easily by moms and daughters alike and we all know by now that Demi Moore, a mom that looks like her own daughter, wears Princess.

Two eaux de toilette will be offered -- 1.7 oz. for $45 and 3.4 oz. for $72. A 5-oz. body lotion, $32, completes the offerings.
