Ghost Captivating (2010) {New Fragrance}

Captivating is the latest fragrance by Ghost, a perfume brand which is popular in the UK and less well-known elsewhere but is accessible at discount stores abroad and from British online sites.

The fruity-floral eau de toilette opens on notes of bergamot, mandarin, guava, freesia. The heart is composed of rose, peony, magnolia, jasmine. The base rests on orris, sandalwood, musky notes.

The advertising is fronted by the spokesperson for Ghost, model Lily Cole. The tag line pitches the perfume as a tool of seduction: "The new fragrance as captivating as you." The emerald green color used to convey the idea of a captivating personality is less commonly encountered yet recalls a classic of perfumery, Emeraude by Coty.
