Ed Hardy Born Wild for Women (2010) {New Fragrance}
Ed Hardy will launch a new women's fragrance in November 2010 called Born Wild. The composition is signed by perfumer Calice Becker of Givaudan (Dior J'Adore; Estée Lauder Beyond Paradise; By Kilian Love, and many more.) The nose explained the source of her inspiration,
"I imagined the feeling of being on a tropical island watching the vibrant sunset, sipping on brilliantly colored cocktails and being intoxicated with the aromas around me,...To me, fragrance is full of life and effervescence, like a tropical paradise."....
Born Wild for Women opens on top notes of dewberry and cassis buds leading to a heart of magnolia and peach blossom before developing lasting base notes of lily of the valley, sandalwood and musk.
It is interesting to see a muguet or lily of the valley note inserted to structure the deeper notes of the scent; it might be perhaps to emphasize a floral-musky facet as muguet has a naturally occurring musky note.
Prices: $55 for a 1.7 fl. oz. eau de parfum and $75 for a 3.4 fl. oz bottle.
Shopping Addresses: Macy's, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Bon Ton, Belk, Sephora and ULTA.
