Fornasetti Profumi per la Casa (2010) {New Perfume} {Home Fragrance}

A new line of scented home fragrance will be launched in September 2010 simply called Fornasetti Profumi per la Casa which are inspired by Italian designer Fornasetti's work on and obsession with singer Lina Cavalieri. Elements of her iconic face will appear on the ceramic containers for the candles, like her mouth but of course also her nose....


Only one perfume has been described so far. It was composed by perfumer Olivier Polge.

The blend includes notes of thyme, lavender, orris, cedarwood, tolu balsam, incense, storax and labdanum.

The idea behind the collection is resolutely driven by interior decoration. There will be a number of fragrance-diffusing systems such as "scented spheres, or ceramic objects that emit fragrance,"

Prices: $150 for a 125-ml. room spray to $450 for a 4.4-oz. candle
