Bath & Body Works Dark Kiss (2010): BBW Smolder {New Fragrance}

Bath and Body Works' latest fragrance is called Dark Kiss and is launching with more fanfare than is usual coming from the rather low-key unselfconscious brand. Visibly, the advertisers got inspired by the idea of a torrid kiss and thought that customers should be able to see it: a video can be viewed on their site. The site has been painted with purple skins. If the voice-over sounds a bit tense when saying "sexy" in the tag line "Our dangerously sexy fragrance," there is nevertheless a genuine attempt at playing in the soft-porn register...

The ad copy is also getting somewhat unleashed,

"Master perfumers have blended voluptuous berries, tempting blooms, sensual incense and night musk for this daring and seductive fragrance. It is a modern tale of forbidden love that will unleash your most primal passions."

The Eau de Toilette is said to open on top notes of Bergamot, Incense, Mirabelle Plum, and Black Raspberry. Heart notes rest upon Amber, Burgundy Rose, Geranium, Peony. Base notes strike deep chords with Dark Vanilla Bean, Labdanum, Vetiver, Sensual Balsam, and Musks.
