Judith Leiber Night (2011) {New Fragrance}

 

 

After the launch of Leiber by Judith Leiber in 2007 and a hiatus, the luxury clutch maker to the stars is going back to the world of perfume and preparing to launch a new women's fragrance from January 2011 called Judith Leiber Night. The name evokes the atmosphere of galas and the night life to which the brand's iconic evening accessories are associated.

Mary Gleason, president of the brand said, “Judith Leiber Night [the new scent] reflects our new direction — targeting the next generation of luxury consumers,” (Via WWD)

The perfume was created by Firmenich. It includes notes of "addictive oriental" and sensual amber, together with black cinnamon, bergamot, night blooming jasmine, fragrant lilies and passion peonies. The base notes are caramelized amber, creamy woods, incense and "a kiss of patchouli."

The flacon is inspired by Art Deco designs from the Leiber collections of bags and in particular the Streamline evening bag.

The Eau de Parfum will be available in two sizes, 40 ml. for $140 and 75 ml. for $198. It will debut at Bergdorf Goodman, Judith Leiber boutiques and judithleiber.com
