M. Micallef Shanaan (2010) {New Fragrance}

M. Micallef have added a new fragrance to their collection Les Exclusifs called Shanaan. Known for her sense of sparkly whimsy as applied to perfume flacons, co-founder Martine Micallef is also able to offer regular output of new fragrances in a way that seems natural and less than suspect only if you are living in a multi-secular region of perfumery,..

 ... the south of France.

You cannot help but think that all this added experience allows southern noses to whip up fragrances only because they have worked so hard for centuries. Anywhere else and you think industrial output rather than seasoned know-how.

Shanaan has notes of lemon, petit grain, cedarwood, patchouli, frankincense, ambergris, labdanum, musk. It is presented as an unisex fragrance deemed to be "extraordinary" and with "a mysterious aura." Incense dominates and gives a strong personality to the composition according to the brand.
