The American brand of lighters Zippo created in 1932 in Bradford, PA have launched their debut fragrance for Men called Zippo The Original. The brand put emphasis on the iconicity of the lighter's design and reveal that they have even taken pains to reproduce "the famous Zippo click" so as to recreate the sensory experience of flipping open a genuine Zippo...
Capitalizing on their history of designing a portable and elegant object, Zippo underline the ease, masculinity and practicality of carrying the fragrance in one's pocket, just like for the lighter. It is said to be "The ideal companion for the adventures of day and the passions of night." To complete the experience, the 100 ml version of the perfume is sold with two 50 ml refills.
The fragrance was composed by Alexandra Monet (she is a descendant of painter Claude Monet) of Drom Fragrances.
Top notes are bergamot, grapefruit, apple, violet leaves. Heart notes are black pepper, Provençal lavender, Egyptian geranium, clary sage absolute of Porvence, Brazilian tonka bean. Base notes are Texas cedarwood, Indonesian patchouli leaves, Cashmere wood, smoky vetiver from Haiti, vanilla from Madagascar.
National celebrity advertising campaigns are planned in each of the countries where Zippo The Original fragrance will be launched.
