Douglas Hannant de Robert Piguet (2011) {New Fragrance}

Fashion designer Douglas Hannant will launch his debut signature perfume under the auspices of the house of Robert Piguet Parfums from Feburary 2011. It is a first for the perfume brand as well which is diversifying its activities by transfering its know-how to transcribing the fashion of a contemporary designer rather than only focusing on the style of Robert Piguet in what sounds like the beginning of a new collection. Hannant said,

"I was very excited when Robert Piguet Parfums approached me about creating this extraordinary fragrance with Givaudan, [...] it is a youthful, modern, and feminine scent that I think my clients all over the world will enjoy."....

The composition is signed by perfumer Aurélien Guichard, who is de facto like the in-house composer for the brand.

Douglas Hannant is described as a "light floral that is modern, clean, and fresh." The perfume combines two flowers which are typically seen as being quintessentially American, gardenia and tuberose.

The fragrance opens on notes of orange blossom, pear granita, gardenia. The heart rests on tuberose. The base notes are sandalwood, jasmine absolute, white musk.
