Marc Jacobs Splash Cocktail Collection Cranberry, Ginger, Curaçao (2011) {New Fragrances - Limited Editions}
Marc Jacobs will launch a new trio of limited-edition Splash perfumes in March 2011 centering for the second time on a gourmand theme after last year's collection devoted to a macaron-inspired library of scents. The Splash Cocktail Collection comprises Cranberry, Ginger and Curaçao which aim to evoke the sensation of a first sip taken from refreshing drinks on a hot summer day...
Cranberry Splash is a citrusy and fruity perfume which was created by perfumer Richard Herpin of Firmenich. The image which inspired it is that of a incandescent sunset over a sea of skyscrapers on a long summer evening. Top notes are cranberry and mandarin. Heart notes are honeysuckle and red currant. Base notes are ice-cold musks and exotic woods.
Ginger Splash is a sparkling citrus fragrance and takes its inspiration from a fiery hot passion fruit cocktail with an Asian touch. It was composed by perfumer Yann Vasnier of Givaudan. Opening notes are freshly sliced ginger, Cognac oil. Heart notes are Bourbon geranium, passion fruit and rhubarb. Base notes are warm sandalwood and musk.
Curaçao Splash is a fresh and soft aquatic citrusy scent which evokes summer nights in the Tropics. Yann Vasnier signs the composition once more. Top notes are lime from Peru and blood orange. Heart notes are violet, apricot and pear. Base notes are white moss and musk.
Each 300 ml splash is priced at 69€.
