Dita Von Teese is Working on a Perfume with a Dash of Vulgarity, Yum! {Fragrance News} {Celebrity Perfume}

The little bird tweeted that there is a new celebrity perfume on the horizon. Dita Von Teese, who recently was evoking her problems finding a business partner to develop her signature perfume seems to have finally found the right people to work with. Thanks to modern means of communication, the burlesque actress was able to tweet from the depths of the French countryside where she was holding a meeting with perfumers at a château...

 

- this reminds me of the time when I was crossing China in train and had to to do a double-take because I thought I saw from the window a Chinese peasant in a straw hat in a field put down his pitchfork near his wooden cart and whip out his cellphone -- did I just really see that? At any rate, mixing tradition with modernity, Von Teese is currently brainstorming live about her fragrance creation. She says she is interested in capturing contrasts, paradoxes and a bit of sulphur. Her own, non custom-made signature scent used to be Quelques Fleurs by Houbigant.

"I want to evoke passion with fragrance....intense love/lust and distaste/fear rather than merely popular acceptance."

If her perfume will not go in the direction of a gustatory fragrance, it might just be because Von Teese likes to keep things separate; she also tweeted that she is currently working on a cookbook.
