Eva Mendes is the New Angel at Thierry Mugler's {Fragrance News} {Perfume Images & Ads} {Celebrity-Endorsed}

Actress Eva Mendes will be the new face of fragrance Angel by Thierry Mugler, one of the most memorable scents to appear towards the end of the 20th century and a current global bestseller (see interview with Pierre Aulas, artistic director at Mugler.) She succeeds her colleague Naomi Watts to hopefully bring back some idea of spice and fire to the franchise, per the brand.

Mendes demonstrated her sultriness chops, so to speak, when she appeared as the enticing presence in the advertising for Calvin Kleing Secret Obsession in 2008. She was deemed overly sensuous actually by several TV networks in the US and the ad was banned from the airwaves.

Mendes recently played in the movie The Other Guys with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg where she showed she could be a natural comic presence.

The new ad campaign launches in September 2011.
