New Ad Campaign for Ralph Lauren Romance to Break Out in April 2011 {Perfume Images & Ads}

Ralph Lauren are rejuvenating the image of fragrance Romance with a technicolor, so to speak, advertising campaign set in the lush environment of an Argentinian family estate near Bueno Aires.

The two protagonists in the ad shot by photographer Bruce Weber are real-life husband-and-wife team polo player Nacho Figueras and his wife, photographer Delfina "Delfi" Blaquier whose grandparents own the estate...

The couple got married at this very place.

According to WWD this is the first time that the ad images for Romance are shot in color since its launch in 1998.

In an interview given to Men's Health, Nacho Figueras gave this romantic assessment of his marital life,

"Nacho, who has a 10-year-old son, 5-year-old daughter and an 8-month-old baby boy, shares how and his wife keep their 11-year-old marriage going. "We try to maintain the romance, that’s important. Obviously, our kids are our main focus and we feel very blessed. To be home with our kids is very romantic. But every once in a while we care about going out and having our own time for ourselves. We found each other when we were very young, and we’re still quite young after having a 10-year-old boy, so we go out. We have young friends who are not even married or who just got married, so we keep quite a busy social schedule.   And the truth is, marriage is work. Not everything is pink and rosy like in the movies. We love and respect each other very much but it takes two to tango." 

Romance was composed by perfumer Harry Fremont of Firmenich and has been a top-twenty bestseller ever since it launched.
