Seveline Nature Vanille Gourmande, Pêche Sublime, Rose Intense {2011}: Organic and Cheap {New Perfumes}
Seveline is French brand of mass-marketed perfumes, part of the umbrella brand Laurence Dumont. They have released a collection of three natural and organic perfumes in the new Seveline Nature range. They are called Vanille Gourmande, Pêche Sublime and Rose Intense.
This will be a great entry door to organic perfumes as they are distributed through the Casino hypermarket and supermarket chain and may inspire similar efforts elsewhere. They smell good, beg to be layered, although it seems they could still improve their staying power...
The Seveline Nature fragrances contain 100% natural ingredients and 79% of organic ingredients. They are Cosmébio- and Ecocert-certified.
What they don't contain:
"SANS DI-ETHYL PHTALATE (solvants, fixateurs, dénaturants de parfumerie)
SANS MUSCS NITRES OU POLYCYCLIQUES (fixateurs des parfums)
SANS PROPYLENE GLYCOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, COLORANTS (molécules synthétiques)
SANS CONTAMINANTS: (pesticides, métaux lourds, nitrates)"
The argument for buying them is of course your health. If the Rose Intense goes a bit in the direction of rose water, you can always say never mind, since it's good for your skin, lungs and mood. The Vanille Gourmande has the most sensual sillage. Pêche Sublime, based on a natural extract of peach, seems to have stolen the peach note from Rose Intense.
Wholesome and cheap fragrances have a way of wooing you with their unassuming airs though.
Priced at 7,90€ each for 50 ml, they probably could be justified as all-around-good-scents for you.
