Veld's Prends-Moi (2011): Slimming Perfume {New Fragrance}
French beauty brand Veld's launched an innovative perfume blend called Prends-Moi Eau de Minceur (Take Me) which is destined to help its wearers slim down based on the pleasure principle. It was devised according to ideas and experience developed in neurocosmetics and the more classic olfactotherapy. While there have been basic attempts going in that direction - I remember a grapefruit essential oil sold by Sanoflore meant to curtail your appetite - this is a much more ambitious project and a more complete fragrance...
The person behind the concept is ex-model Joyce Musy, the founder of the Veld's beauty brand.
Prends-Moi reportedly contains Betaphroline which is used to help trigger beta-endorphins while the juice also contains caffeine and spirulina which are meant to be massaged into the body. Betaphroline can be extracted naturally from the plant Tephrosia purpurea and has been used in skincare cosmetics for its destressing and relaxing properties.
The fragrance is fully structured as a fruity-floral composition. The scent opens on top notes of bergamot, mandarin and grapefruit. The heart features jasmine, ylang-ylang and wet lilac. The base notes are patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla, white musks.
A 100 ml bottle is priced at 56€. Available in France on nocibe.fr
