Dita Von Teese Teases Us with New Scent {Fragrance News} {Celebrity Perfume}

Burlesque artist Dita Von Teese has announced via her Twitter account that her fragrance-development process is finally almost complete. She previously had mentioned that her signature perfume would not have anything to do with the broadest definition of the mainstream exclaiming "No fruit, no vanilla, no candy!" but adding, yes, to a bit of vulgarity...

The latter part was meant to be an allusion to those base, animalic notes beloved by old-school French perfumery which was always ready to say yes to civet and castoreum.

In a reverse move to the non-perfume current exemplified in the recent period by L'Eau Serge Lutens, Guerlain Cologne du Parfumeur, Jennifer Aniston EDP and others, the dancer wanted a full-blown presence for her scent.

After hundreds of trials, we learn, Von Teese thinks that as of May the 24th 2011, she has nailed the personality of her signature fragrance.

"After 6 months of meetings w/"noses" in Paris+100s of variations on my ideas, I think we've finally got my signature fragrance!"

She further adds that it will hit the shelves pretty quickly as she specifies that "My signature fragrance will be in stores this fall."
