Estée Lauder Sensuous Nude (2011): The Scent of Bare Skin {New Fragrance}
Estée Lauder will add a third fragrance to their Sensous collection with Sensuous Nude to be introduced in August 2011 just in time to catch those last rays of sunshine (we hope not) and prepare for the autumn festivities. The perfume comes after Sensuous (2008) and Sensuous Noir (2010). Jane Hertzmark Hudis, global brand president for Estée Lauder said,
“Sensuality needs full expression — no one scent encompasses the full expression of what is sensuous,” -- that's for the philosophical aspect -- "We always intended to use Sensuous as a platform to explore that concept. We are building this franchise for the long haul.” -- that's for the marketing aspect...
Going by the description, it seems that Sensuous Nude will push a few boundaries, evolving from "luminous" to "uninhibited" (the name of Cher's fragrance in the past, a good visual clincher for the concept.) If we are to take this project seriously, we will have to evaluate what contribution the perfume will make to, reportedly, the definition of "modern sensuality."
Another experimental idea is that they have inserted a musk note in the heart of the fragrance rather than let it evolve more classically in the base notes.
On the traditional plane, Sensous Nude is inspired by the image of a 1953 advert for Youth Dew depicting a woman about to step into her bath. The composition will continue to feature the Melted Woods NaturePrint accord which is the signature for the scent.
The Eau de Parfum, which is signed by Karyn Khoury, senior vice president of corporate fragrance development worldwide for the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. together with Firmenich, has top notes of Sicilian bergamot, mandarin, Baie rose and black pepper; the heart iests on jasmine petals, muguet, coconut water, honey and musk; the drydown develops notes of sandalwood, amber, heliotrope, vanilla and Melted Woods NaturePrint.
Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana is the spokesperson for the fragrance and appears in an advert shot by Craig McDean (reminiscent of the Jennifer Aniston ad) and created by Doug Lloyd of Lloyd & Co. in collaboration with Aerin Lauder. The advertising campaign will debut at the same time that the perfume launches, in August.
Prices: 1 oz. for $52, 1.7 oz. for $65 and 3.4 oz. for $90

Yet, another new model at Estee Lauder. Are Caroline and Hilary out?
Caroline I haven't seen in a while, but Hilary is still all over the place as far as I can tell.
Great post! I'll be sure to get this perfume! It looks good!
