Vince Camuto EDP (2011) {New Fragrance}
Shoe designer Vince Camuto is readying to launch his first women's fragrance bearing his signature, Vince Camuto Eau de Parfum. Not only does the scent bear his seal of approval, but his coat of arms as well, which is a recent addition to his design portfolio...
The fragrance, to be launched in September 2011, was composed by perfumer Steve DeMercado of Fragrance Resources and developed with licensee Parlux Fragrances Inc. It will be introduced more officially to the industry in the venue of the Tax Free World Association duty free convention in Cannes, France, in September.
The scent is billed as a floral chypre. Key words are "contemporary, sexy, and sophisticated."
The perfume opens on top notes of rum absolute and osmanthus nectar. The heart rests upon Bulgarian white rose, rich leather and night blooming jasmine. The base is anchored with vanilla absolute, sensual patchouli, warm amber Brazil and skin musk.
A men's cologne is in the works to follow a year after.
"The scent will be available in 1.7-oz, eau de parfum spray, priced $60; a 3.4-oz. size for $78, and a 5-oz. body lotion for $40. A 1-oz. size of the edp is on the drawing board for overseas distribution, Camuto added. In the U.S., the fragrance will be shipped in August to 1,000 doors including those of Macy’s, Dillard’s and Bon-Ton."

Vince should stick to making shoes. This perfume is AWFUL!!! It is way too sweet smelling and spicy...sort of like old spice for elderly women! It gave me a headache right away. The only good thing about it was that the scent lasts a long time but that's if you enjoy having a headache for the same duration of time. There is nothing floral about this perfume. It smells sugary and sweet and spicy but NOT in a good way. It's like a smell stuck in the 70's. The kind you would smell on a chain smoking old lady who hangs out at dirty bars playing slot machines. A single spray goes a long way so if you actually do like this scent, please do the rest of the us a favor and limit it to one spritz. LOL! The bottle is pretty but that's about it.
