Chanel No.19 Poudré to Launch on August 19, 2011 on Coco Chanel's Birthday {Fragrance News}

As previously announced, Chanel have been working on a new variation of the classic No. 19 from the 1970s called Chanel No. 19 Poudré. Now the official launch date has been announced as being the 19th of August 2011 to coincide with the birthday of Mademoiselle Chanel. The fashion legend was known to be superstitious and a believer in numerology. It is therefore fitting to reactivate that tradition for the introduction of the new flanker or companion scent to the original created in 1970 by perfumer Henri Robert...

No.19 Poudré will make its exclusive official debut on August 19, 2011 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

 Leading up to the launch, the Chanel Facebook page will offer interactive games to probe the so-called "No.19 Poudré Secrets." There will be quotes from the fashion designer, a Chanel numerology 101 and explanations of the technology that went into the bottle design as well as the scent composition.
