DKNY Golden Delicious in Solid Gold & Gems {Fragrance News - New Flacon}

DKNY have turned to celebrity Jeweller Martin Katz to add some pzazz to their new fragrance Golden Delicious. Touted as the "first million-dollar bottle", the apple-shaped flacon has been redone in 14 K gold (huh, huh, couldn't they have done it in 18 K?) and encrusted with diamonds and other gems, the latter which appear in the global-themed glass tray serving as pedestal for the perfume...

This showpiece of a bottle is meant to travel in several capitals of the world. An event for bloggers had been organized in London but due to the riots, it had to be cancelled. One of the aims of the event was to have participants appreciate the craftsmanship that went into the design of the flacon while making their own versions with Swarovski crystals.

Once the international tour for the bottle is completed it will be sold and proceeds will go to the charity Action Against Hunger.
