After New York, Diane by Diane Von Furstenberg will Launch on the Champs-Elysées in Paris {Scented Paths & Fragrant Addresses}

The Champs-Elysées set the stage for Paris Nature Capitale in May 2010 as it became covered with greenery...and people.

We've been thinking for ages of setting up a perfume calendar as the press releases have become more and more precise regarding dates of launches...

When the blog started out in 2006, more often than not, you would get information like "will launch this fall" or "will launch this October." Thanks to a steadily growing evolution encouraged by perfume-cum-fashion blogs, now it is more frequent and standard to have "will launch on 22nd of September."

This prelude is to let you know that after being launched in New York City, the new fragrance, Diane by DVF, will make its debut on October 5 in France with a street show on the most beautiful avenue in the world.

The brand did not want to do a repeat of yesterday's Wrap Rally, but there will still be wrap dresses to support the introduction. WWD reports that the French launch which will be exclusive to Sephora, will be rung in by a flash mob on the Champs-Elysées.

"More than 100 dancers and Sephora employees will strut their stuff outside the flagship store garbed in DVF’s iconic wrap dress to evoke the designer’s ethos: “Be the woman you want to be.”

It's a ritual with the flagship Sephora store anyway as they usually launch into a dancing number accompanied by cheerings in the mornings before opening the store.
