Victoria's Secret Gorgeous (2011): The 60s Wave, Once More {New Fragrance}
Victoria's Secret have launched a new perfume named Gorgeous, with the tag line, "The new fragrance that's effortlessly glamorous and made to be noticed." The jus is housed in a coquettish atomizer bottle and is very, very pink...
But that's what they do at VS, and sometimes their perfumes can be pretty seriously good despite dripping with unabashed girlitude, as with Ooh La La, that said from the Mimi Froufrou front.
It's the companion scent to the new push-up bra collection of the same name. The face of both lingerie and perfume campaigns is model Lindsay Ellingson who explains that she is channelling the 1960s and Brigitte Bardot in particular.The videos below show the TV commercial by Michael Bay and the behind-the-scenes. The action takes place in a Paris appartment.
It's all reminiscent of the ad campaign for L'Air by Nina Ricci and the retro wave towards the 60s New Wave.
Gorgeous is said to be "a sparkling blend of irresistible strawberry, sheer jasmine and tempting sandalwood."
Price: $49 for 100 ml of eau de parfum.
