Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum (2012) {New Fragrance}

roberto_cavalli_edp.jpgItalian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli will launch a new women's perfume in February 2012 named Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum. It was composed by perfumer Louise Turner of Givaudan who selected orange blossom as its key note for its femininity and sensuality as well as its Italianness. As I mentioned previously, orange blossom has been very much reactivated as a central perfumery note in a number of launches over the past year or two and this only confirms the infatuation with the material...

The Cavalli house is particularly hyped about the launch which they see as a major brand ambassador, saying,

"We want to establish Cavalli as a global brand from the beginning; it’s not going to be niche. It’s going to be big, global, and well distributed in all continents. We want to make it a top 20 brand.”

Eva Cavalli added,

“This is so emotional for us, and I want to thank Michele and the Coty team for everything they have done. It’s been hard work, but also a lot of fun…We are very proud of this fragrance.”

Roberto Cavalli edp is a floral-amber scent with notes of orange blossom, tonka bean, pink peppercorn, vanilla absolute and benzoin. Turner who does not like animalic notes made sure none were included despite Roberto Cavalli's love of animal print. The ad fronted by Elisa Sednaoui who precisely wears an animal-print dress by the fashion label.
