Black Up Launch Their First Perfume (2011) {New Fragrance}
Black Up, the leading French makeup brand whose vivid, saturated tints are dedicated to "black and mixed-race beauties", have launched their first fragrance called Black Up. The eau de parfum, composed by perfumer Dora Baghriche-Arnaud of Firmenich, is described as a floral-oriental aiming 25 to 35 year-old women.
"An addictive perfume offering noble and warm nuances, which combines the gourmand tonalities of spices with the carnal trail of musk."...
The fragrance is said to open on soft and fruity top notes of blackcurrant, licorice/Carensac (a popular French licorice candy), mandarin, and lemon leading to a heart resting on a deep impression of woody-musky notes wrapped with the voluptiousness of rose, violet and iris. The finishing ambery notes are "haunting and powerful" playing upon iris wood, amber, patchouli, praline, sandalwood and tolu resinoïd.
The effect of the perfume on the skin promises to be like a "refined and irresistible veil."
Price: 67€ for 50 ml.
This fall, another makeup brand, Illamasqua, have debuted a fragrance, Freak.
