Happ & Stahns 1922 Lily Sanguine (2011) {New Fragrance}

happ_stahns_lily_sanguine.jpgFollowing up on the launch of 1842 Rosa Alba in 2010, Happ & Stahns, a fragrance brand developed for home deco and apparel store chain Anthropologie, have introduced their second perfume called 1922 Lily Sanguine. The composition is signed by perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux of Givaudan....

"Evocative of the exoticism and mystery experienced by young women touring the Far East in the 1920s, this scent is a decadent oriental bouquet, steeped in rich, slightly retro, floral accords. Housed in an amethyst-hued pillow-top glass bottle and capped with a sculptural pair of birds, which were major design motifs of the 1920s."

Like for the first scent, the flacon has been particularly well thought-out to turn the perfume into a full-fledged decoration object. The storyline continues to refer to young women touring unknown countries.

Notes include: acacia flower absolute, Tunisian neroli and hawthorn mixed with orange flower absolute, Regal Lily ScentTrek, and base notes of Florentine iris, balsam and Madagascar vanilla (FLORAL).

The designation "ScentTrek" means that the scent of the Regal Lily was tracked down in its natural habitat, then captured live, analyzed and recomposed as faithfully as possible in a lab with all the data gathered in the field. It usually gives very fresh, realistic floral notes.

Price: $70 for 100 ml of Eau de Parfum.
