Armani will launch a satiny and fresh version of Acqua di Gioia from March 2012 called Acqua di Gioia Eau de Parfum Satinée - Satin Fragrance or again, the Edition Satinée - Satin Edition. The brand is playing on the attractiveness of a new textural feel as the gel-like scent leaves a trace of iridescence on the skin as well as the synesthetic reinforcement of the marine theme which is further evoked with this allusion to mother-of-pearl. It also reminds you of the Iridescent duo that Narciso Rodriguez proposed in 2010 for Narciso Rodriguez for Her and Essence....
The blend is proposed as a summer edition, with notes of crushed mint leaves mingling with briney nuances. It reportedly remains faithful to the original, which offers warm marine tonalities resting on labdanum. Other notes cited are water jasmine, "Limone Primo Fiore Femminello," cedar wood and brown sugar. They all feature in the original fragrance, but like for Narciso Rodriguez Iridescent for Her, there might be new, non-advertized secondary nuances.
