New York Yankees to Launch Duo of Perfumes {New Fragrances} {Celebrity Perfumes}

Following in the footsteps of team mate Derek Jeter who has a line of colognes with Avon, the New Yorks Yankees are reported to be set to launch a duo of fragrances representing their collective team spirit on February 21st, 2012 in a cocktail party in Manhattan....

New York Yankees for Her and New York Yankees are labeled as the "official fragrances" for the sports franchise.

Coincidentally or not, the scents will neatly tie in with the more general "New York" brand-name at a time when president Barack Obama has decided to launch a national offensive on the tourism front. Any perfume with a place name on its bottle is susceptible to becoming a prized souvenir in that context.
