Launch of Signorina by Ferragamo in the US {Fragrance News} {Perfume Images & Ads}
Signorina, the new perfume by Salvatore Ferragamo has been progressively unveiled at the global level since last year. Last October 2011, it debuted in Moscow. Last month it appeared in France. The perfume has now been released in the US with a launch event in New York City on March 20th, 2012. Apparently, Ferragamo are keen on turning Signorina into a global fragrance.
Bianca Balti, the face of the fragrance first hosted a dinner in an intimate setting followed by a large party at Palazzo Chupi, NYC. She was joined by brand hostesses Rachel Chandler-Guinness, Alexandra Richards, Theodora Richards and Stella Schnabel. All of them modelled frocks from the Ferragamo 2012 Spring/Summer collection....
A rich tapestry of gorgeous chubby pink peonies and roses - which notes are found in the perfume - was woven to serve as a background for photo ops.
Ferragamo Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti said of his choice of Balti that,
“I immediately thought of Bianca Balti when it came to deciding who should represent the new fragrance. Bianca, a dear friend, is a strikingly beautiful woman, but one with a well defined personality and sensibility - strong and determined but with a typically Italian natural sensuality. She’s a young woman who perfectly symbolizes modernity and elegance.”
Coco Sumner, the daughter of Trudie Styler and Sting, interpreted I Blame Coco at the party filled with a roster of celebrities while Italian DJ Francesco Mele art-directed the musical selection.
In order to make a hit out of Signorina, a dedicated website to open on March 26th, 2012 has been set up called The Girls About Town – www.TheGirlsAboutTown.
"The site follows the face of Signorina, Bianca Balti, along with Rachel Chandler-Guinness, Alexandra Richards, Theodora Richards, and Lauren Remington-Platt on their journeys and lifestyles as the quintessential Signorinas. The site will open with a Phil Pinto directed film “The Signorina Story”, weaving the life of the Signorina through fashion and festivities. In addition, each day the girls about town will upload new and exciting content while sharing exclusive looks into their lives via videos, photos, and text. All content will be archived so fans can follow their favorite girl about town while sharing the insider content via their social networks."
