Tommy Hilfiger Woman Pear Blossom Created in Collaboration with Douglas (2012) {New Perfume}
Tommy Hilfiger created a veritable dessert of a perfume in collaboration with international perfumery chain Douglas. The limited-edition will be available exclusively from both brands from April 2012.
While there is no dearth of mouth-watering notes in Tommy Hilfiger Woman Pear Blossom, which combines warm pear with cinnamon, whipped cream and spices, they don't quite equate with blissful mindlessness. Quite a bit of thinking actually went into the new scent, which the brand describe as multilayered, complex and dynamic...
Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger said, "I wanted to create a fragrance that conveys the sensation of a Hilfiger woman moment of dynamism and warmth,"This new fragrance is inviting, but with an unexpected twist: it represents the free-thinking and free-spirited character of the Hilfiger women which gives them their irresistible charm."
The new fruity-floriental jus is said to owe it complexity to a combination of dynamic and radiant, luminous notes. It "combines the aroma of warm pear, mixed with cinnamon, a hint of berries and spices to create a luxurious musky fragrance that you would want to take with you anywhere."
Top: pear blossom, neroli, raspberry
Heart: davana essence, whipped cream, cinnamon
Base: sandalwood, cedar wood, roasted organically grown tonka beans
Davana essence smells a bit like raisins. If they really used the scent of "roasted organically grown tonka beans" that would be thanks to methods like headspace or with help from the flavor industry as we pointed out in the post on candy-inspired perfumes.
