Poiray Sceau de Coeurs (2012) {New Perfume}
Jeweler Poiray have launched a new women's perfume called Sceau de Coeurs (Seal of Hearts), which is inspired by the eponymous interlocked ring...
The idea was to create an alliance of simplicity and luxury ending in an even more luxuriously feeling object for this very reason. The ring is composed with two hearts, one in ceramic, the other in precious metal and diamonds. Chanel were the ones to have ceramic be perceived as a possible high-end material with their J12 watches designed by Jacques Helleu.
The perfume was introduced on the occasion of French Mother's Day 2012.
The Eau de Parfum opens on top notes of bergamot, mandarin, cassis, and freesia leading to a heart of hawthorne, frangipani, ylang ylang, jasmine and hazelnut. The base notes rest on ambrette seed, cedar wood, vanilla, musk and praline.
The composition sounds complex, with a mix of refined notes subtly touched by gourmand nuances.
