Prada Infusion d'Iris L'Eau d'Iris (2013): Pink Laurel Floating onto Iris Petals {New Perfume}
Prada were inspired by a unique phenomenon of nature allying the visual shock of flurries of pink laurel flowers descending onto iris floral stems for one time during springtime. The ensuing creation is as ephemeral as the spectacle of nature taking place in the gardens of Tuscany. The limited edition perfume is called Infusion d'Iris L'Eau d'Iris...
To symbolize the meeting of these two worlds of colors and scents, the outer packaging and the flacon present the tints pink and green. An illustration of a garden of white irises was drawn by illustrator François Berthoud.
The eau de toilette was composed by perfumer Daniela Andrier, the original creator of Infusion d'Iris, under the artistic direction of fashion designer Miuccia Prada.
The scent is said to be a tender, fresh, delicate yet radiant interpretation of iris. The nose explained,
"A bouquet of fresh and green mint unveils a floral heart of roses drenched in water made delicately powdery thanks to Pink Laurel. The base reveals the unique signature of the Infusions of Irises, with its tender, musky, iris-y facets."
Once more, the accent was put on the natural quality of the ingredients, together with a re-examination of the iris flower in perfume form.
The freshest and subtlest powdery notes of iris were preserved. Mint of Morocco is said to illuminate the composition. Tunisian neroli is both fresh and vital. Pink Laurel is soft and lightly almondy. Muguet conveys femininity. Orange blossom absolute accentuates the sensuality of the perfume. White Musks are described in the following manner: "sensual, pillowy and complex, musk envelops the other notes with a scent revealing velvety nuances of woods and vanillas."
