Kim Kardashian Pure Honey (2013) {New Perfume} {Celebrity Fragrance}
Kim Kardashian is about to release a new women's perfume later thus year. It is somewhat of a departure from her earlier launches where she concentrated mostly on ideas of glamor and old-Hollywood nostalgia, to good effect in her debut scent. The upcoming fragrance is named Pure Honey, which sounds more like a label of quality at a natural foods store; second, the flacon leaves the realm of the Art Deco vanity table to look more like a cute, novelty bottle. Yes, we all know Kim Kardashian is pregnant, but does that explain all the changes?...
Marc Jacobs has also been inspired to work on a honey fragrance this year with his upcoming Marc Jacobs Honey. His bottle is also very-novelty-like, only more fashion-forward (understatement).
Pure Honey was composed by perfumer Claude Dir of Givaudan who has done a few celebrity fragrances, but not just those. He is the person behind Pretty by Elizabeth Arden, Juicy Couture Dirty English, Beyoncé Heat, amongst others.
Kardashian said about the perfume that "This one to me represents pure femininity; it’s really warm and inviting,”
The name of the fragrance is an allusion to raw honeycomb, which would give a sweet, beeswaxy and animalic scent. Floral rose notes have been paired with this master note.
"The 50-ml. version will retail for $55 and the 100-ml. edition for $68 in the U.S., where it is to be carried in Lord & Taylor and Belk."
Known essentially through her family TV reality show, Kim Kardashian has more recently turned to movie acting in the latest Tyler Perry, Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.
