French niche perfume house By Kilian will open their first standalone boutique in New York City in the Meatpacking District in November-December 2013, right on time for the Holidays season. The plans show that the motto for the brand will appear on the entrance glass doors spelling "Perfume as an art "

This is the second freestanding boutique for Kilian after Moscow. The style choice is Art Deco, with the recreated feel of a living room.

“The new boutique will be a careful blend of art deco inspiration and downtown industrialism,” said By Kilian. “Kilian left both the exposed brick wall and high ceilings intact to maintain the authentic structure of this Meatpacking landmark, yet painted them in high sheen finishes to add luxury and elegance.” 

Apple Brandy is a Cognac perfume befitting the family heritage of Kilian Hennessy. It was composed by perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur. 

One of the ideas contained in the fragrance is to have a blend featuring the smoky woodsy tonalities of oak barrels mixing them with notes of Texas cedarwood and white cedarwood from China as well as labdanum from Spain. There are also the sugar of vanilla alcohol and Ambroxan. 

A collection of scented jewelry will be exclusively available from the boutique. This is an addition to the evening clutches already designed by the house, which were originally inspired by the fragrance boxes.
