New Scented Candle: Diptyque Noisetier (2013) {Home Fragrance}
Diptyque have launched a new scented candle to mark fall-winter 2013 called Noisetier inspired by the Hazelnut tree (Corylus avellana). As always, the candle comes housed in a verrine adorned with an elegant black and white label and like each time, the calligrapher needs to fit the name of the new fragrance within the trademark oval of the house, now even used as a gabarit for the fragrance caps and bottles...
The shape was made more iconic with the launch of 34, Boulevard Saint Germain in 2011.
Noisetier is the "scent of a generous season and an invitation to take a stroll on bountiful, shaded and dry lands," Hazelnuts are harvested from September to November.
A quote from French painter Toulouse-Lautrec informs the spirit of the project, "L'automne est le printemps de l'hiver", "Fall is the spring of winter".
The fragrance is said to be woodsy with bitter and tart fruity accords. The brand recommend to use Noisetier together with Coing to create an autumnal sensory scape.
