Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L'Homme in Blocky Black {Fragrance News} {Men's Cologne}
The festive holidays season brings its usual array of fragrance collector editions. One of the ones that stand out this fall-winter 2013 is this new design for La Nuit de L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent. The bottle has been made completely opaque and black. The brand is known for having put the accent on architectural structure & design thanks to the signature of Jean Nouvel...
With this new effort, it imposes a modern style which is inspired by painting - one thinks of Pierre Soulages and l'outre-noir, or Kazimir Malevich, cf. Beautiful Black Bottles, and Smelling Black.
For Yves Saint Laurent it is explicitly about a perfume bottle which now comes dressed with a smoking cut out of crêpe de soie - a parallel masculine effort to La Petite Robe Noire for women - while paying homage to the visual dress code of the fashion branch of the house.
The bottle has also be worked upon so that a tactile effect takes place.
Price: 78,50€ for 100 ml of eau de toilette. The fragrance remains unchanged.
