Balmain Extatic (2014) {New Fragrance}

Balmain will launch a new perfume for women called Extatic from February 2014. The floriental was created by perfumer Emilie Coppermann under the creative stewardship of Oliver Roustaing.

She is furthermore envisioned as a woman with an "aristo-rock" attitude. 

The composition opens on crystalline rose, Nashi fruit and osmanthus seguing into a heart of Sharry Baby orchid - with its chocolate nuances - iris, and jasmine. The base features sandalwood (Amyris), cashmere wood and the signature Balmain Barenia leather. 

The eau de parfum is meant to embody the fashion codes of the house, from the chainmail pattern on the outer packaging to the black wand inside the flacon which suggests a black stiletto according to the brand. 

Model Anna Selezneva is the face of the ad campaign shot by photographer Karim Sadli.
