Jean-Charles Brosseau Ombre Orientale (2013) {New Perfume}
Confidential label Jean-Charles Brosseau have released a new fragrance for women called Ombre Orientale (Oriental Shadow). It is an oudh composition which claims to be different from the slew of agarwood scents inundating the market, welcoming with enthusiasm this new note/accord within the palette of the Western perfumer...
The composition is signed by perfumer Thomas Fontaine who has been collaborating with the house since 2010.
"Ombre Orientale, born from the meeting of the Antiquities chypre and Orient, takes us towards the forested jungle of Cambodia by way of the arid dunes of Persia. A fragrance fusion with a sorcerer’s power. This long lasting Eau de Parfum is dedicated to women who are searching for an oriental fragrance which differs from the traditional oudh compositions."
The perfume opens on top notes of Bergamot, Black Currant, Saffron, Apple and Pink Pepper leading to a heart of Rose, Violet, Raspberry and Orange Flower. In the base there are notes of Patchouli, Oud, Iris, Sandalwood and Amber.
The brand released another composition this year entitled Nymphéa.
